Healthy Homemade Oatmeal with Berries for Breakfast

Fresh Fruit Oatmeal

Makes 6 Cups


3 cups old fashioned oatmeal
½ cup dried cranberries
¼ teaspoon salt
5 cups plain soy milk or lowfat milk
6 sticks Purevia™ sweetener
Fresh blueberries, strawberries or raspberries


In 3- quart saucepan, heat soy milk to boiling. Stir in oats, cranberries, salt and Purevia sweetener. Cook over medium heat about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thick and creamy. Spoon into bowls and top with fruit. Sprinkle with additional Purevia, if desired. The soy milk in this recipe adds a nutty flavor and richness to the creamy oatmeal.
